From a young age, Paulie had a clear vision of his future. He aspired to become a talented tattoo artist. Immersed in the world of art, particularly body art, he felt a deep connection to this path. At nineteen, Paulie seized the opportunity to pursue his passion and left school. Little Annie, a friend and local tattooer/body piercer, offered him an apprenticeship, albeit focused on piercing rather than tattooing. This was his chance to enter the industry he longed for, with the hope that more doors would open along the way.

For four years, Paulie honed his piercing skills at various studios in NYC. Finally, he secured a coveted position at Tattoo Seen in The Bronx, a studio he had always admired. Here, he found the apprenticeship he had been seeking, learning under the guidance of Tony Maxwell from Dublin, Ireland, and later under the skilled NYC native artist, Pon.
